We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a powerful new initiative at I AM VOICES, and we want YOU to be a part of it! We’re forming a Survivor Advisory Youth Committee and seeking 5 passionate young women who are ready to advocate for change, amplify their voices, and make a lasting impact.

Who Can Apply?

We’re looking for young women between 18-24 who have experienced sexual violence—including rape, sexual assault, or sex trafficking. This is your chance to share your story, support others, and drive meaningful change.

What’s Involved?

As a member of the Survivor Advisory Youth Committee, you’ll:

  • Shape programs that support survivors of sexual violence.
  • Collaborate with like-minded individuals to brainstorm, plan, and execute youth-focused initiatives.
  • Attend key meetings, including Council and Task Force meetings, plus radio shows and public news appearances.

This is a paid opportunity requiring 10 hours per month, with an additional 10 hours for training and development before the program begins.

What You’ll Gain:
  • Advocacy: Be a voice for change and stand up for the needs of survivors.
  • Leadership Skills: Develop your program planning, public speaking, and community engagement expertise.
  • Networking: Connect with community partners and expand your career opportunities.
  • Support: Work in a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment with others who share your passion.
Additional Support:

Along with this advocacy opportunity, you may qualify for I AM VOICES supportive services, including:

  • Transportation support
  • Therapy & mental health services
  • Food & nutrition assistance
  • Life skills & career development
  • Case management
We’re here to help you thrive while making an impact!

Ready to get involved? This is more than just a committee—it’s a chance to connect, share your perspective, and help shape the future of survivor support. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to advocate, grow, and make a real difference!
