The Blooming Flower Housing program organized and run by I AM VOICES, Inc. provides innovative, hands-on help with housing, life skills, job placement, transportation, social skills, financial literacy, therapy, assistance, safety, and support to women who have experienced sexual assault, human trafficking, and bouts of homelessness. Alarming statics show that every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. Our specific focus is women; as this population has been identified as particularly vulnerable to sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, pregnancy, physical and emotional abuse.
I AM VOICES takes a victim centered approach and is grounded in trauma informed support. Our interventions, along with data, prove effectiveness to women affected by human trafficking, sexual assault, and bouts of homelessness.

APPLY HERE! I AM VOICES, INC founded in 2017, has been one of the leaders in helping victims of sexual assault and human trafficking break the cycles of violence and re-define their relational boundaries. From hosting educational events and meetings in various locations. Consolidating our services to the Blooming Flower Housing program is the next step in changing the trajectory of the world on sexual assault and human trafficking. Many times, this abuse is from a family member. In these situations, when the abuse is brought to light, the girl is removed from the home and enters the foster care system. This often turns a bad situation into a worse scenario. As they age out of the system, there is little to no support. In South Carolina, studies have shown that 1 in 4 women coming out of the foster care system will find themselves homeless or pregnant within a year. The national average is 1 out of 5. Over 1/3 of them report no stable employment under the age of 21. And those over 21 often find employment in bars and dance clubs. South Carolina allows them to stay in the system until age 21, but many are so frustrated and burned-out that they flee at age 18, desperate for a better life. That’s where I AM VOICES has come in. We have helped many young women develop the tools needed to grow. I AM VOICES is here for our buds in the community. We are driven by the dire need within our local community. Human trafficking continues to plague communities across South Carolina with over 182 recorded cases of Human trafficking in 2021! The number of children and adolescents identified as victims are rising at an alarming pace. We felt an obligation to be part of the solution. We opened the Blooming Flower Housing program March 2021. We are here to help buds find their voice, process their trauma, develop life skills, find stable employment, learn money management, build up their confidence and self-worth, and give them support and encouragement. We are there to show that someone cares, and someone will look out for their best interest.
