Breighoné Brown, LMSW, serves as a Case Manager for I AM VOICES, where she provides survivor-centered case management, advocacy, crisis support, resource coordination, and individualized service planning. She brings more than 10 years of experience across human services, community-based support, mental health, and healthcare. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Breighoné has extensive experience assisting individuals and families with complex medical, emotional, psychosocial, financial, and legal needs.
Breighoné’s professional background includes hospital social work, behavioral healthcare, mental health therapy, intake coordination, discharge planning, and community-based services. She currently serves as a Weekend MSW Case Manager with Roper St. Francis Hospital and as a Mental Health Therapist with Harmony Bay Wellness. Her previous experience includes serving as a Hospital Social Worker and Mental Health Therapist with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and as a Hospital Social Worker and Intake Coordinator with Hilton Head Hospital.
Throughout her career, Breighoné has conducted biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, developed individualized treatment plans, provided individual and group therapy, facilitated crisis interventions, coordinated transitions of care, and connected clients with essential community resources. She has supported individuals affected by abuse, neglect, mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, housing instability, and other barriers to safety and well-being. Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based practices, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based care.
At I AM VOICES, Breighoné uses her clinical knowledge, community experience, and case management expertise to support survivors of sexual violence and sex trafficking as they identify their goals, access healthcare and community resources, navigate challenges, and move toward healing, stability, and independence. Her natural ability to develop trusting relationships with people from diverse backgrounds allows her to meet survivors with compassion while helping them remain connected to their individualized service plans and long-term goals.
Breighoné earned her Master of Social Work from Simmons University and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of Charleston. During her graduate studies, she received specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, including virtual training connected to the work of Dr. Marsha Linehan. She is a natural leader, collaborative professional, and lifelong learner whose compassion, clinical expertise, and commitment to advocacy make her an invaluable member of the I AM VOICES team. Outside of her professional service, Breighoné values spending meaningful time with her family.
